The Journal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications (JEOS-RP) continues to prove itself a valued and trusted publication among the optics community, and the entire team were delighted to see this reflected once again in both the 2025 Journal Citation Reports™ (JCR), published recently by Clarivate Analytics, and Elsevier’s CiteScore rankings.
The 2024 Impact Factor for JEOS-RP is 3.2, a 68% increase from 2023. The CiteScore also increased significantly, by 9.1%, to 3.6 for 2024.
Aliénor Decours-Perez, Journal Publisher at EDP Sciences, commented on the new ranking: “This increase is a testament to the hard work of the JEOS-RP team and the community of peer-reviewers who ensure the highest levels of academic integrity. It is also deserved recognition for the authors who choose the journal to publish such relevant, and impactful research. We are grateful to everyone involved, and for the great continued collaboration between the EOS and EDP Sciences. We expect the journal to continue from strength to strength.”
The Journal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, a publication of The European Optical Society (EOS), is firmly establishing itself in the ever-expanding optics and photonics disciplines. It is proud to rank in the Atomic and Molecular Physics, and Optics 2024 CiteScore category.
The journal team will be present at the upcoming EOS Annual Meeting (EOSAM 2025) in Delft on 24th-28th August 2025. We would be delighted to meet with members of the community who have contributed to the journal’s progress so far, as well as anyone considering publication in the journal.
