Editorial board

Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is appointed by the learned society: the European Optical Society, EOS. She/he regularly meets with the EOS Past-President, responsible of JEOS-RP on the EOS Executive Committee. The Editor-in-Chief handles the peer review process. She/he assigns each submission to a Topical Editor, whose expertise fields are connected to this paper. After receiving the recommendations of this Topical Editor, the decision of accepting or rejecting the paper rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Silvia Soria Huguet, IFAC-CNR Institute of Applied Physics, Italy

Co-Editors

The Co-Editors are selected by the European Optical Society. They provide support to the Editor-in-Chief.

Riad Haidar, ONERA and École Polytechnique, France
Gerd Leuchs, Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Germany
Sergei Turitsyn, Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies, UK

Responsible of the Journal on the EOS Executive Committee

The European Optical Society, EOS owns The Journal of the European Optical Society – Rapid Publications (JEOS-RP). EOS appoints the Editor-in-Chief and the other members of the editorial boards. EOS sets the scientific policy of the journal. The EOS Past-President is responsible of JEOS-RP on the EOS Executive Committee. She/he works closely with the Editor-in-Chief in order to maintain the objectives set by EOS.

National Optical Society Advisory Board

Learned societies in Optics and Photonics from many European countries are represented at the board of the not-for-profit European Optical Society, EOS. A number of these learned societies have expressed an interest in strengthening their collaborative efforts with EOS, with a view to responding more effectively to the requirements of the scientific community and of their respective members.

Topical Editors

The selection of the Topical Editors has been made by the European Optical Society, EOS, on the basis of their proven expertise in the scientific disciplines encompassed by the journal's scope. Depending on the theme of the submitted article, the Editor-in-Chief selects the Topical Editor who will handle the peer-review process. Based on the recommendations of at least two reviewers, the Topical Editor proposes a decision to the Editor-in-Chief who retains the ultimate responsibility for accepting or rejecting the paper.
